Let’s not beat around the bush. If you are anything like me, waiting any longer to start your holiday gift knitting will just be too late!
So without further ado, we kick off the first of our holiday gift ideas. The following patterns are mainly aimed at those who take a bit longer to knit (no shame in that!) or projects that may need a bit more time to complete.
So stick around for our last minute gift guide closer to Christmas.
Needles at the ready? Off we go!
This poncho by Lene Holme Samsøe is the perfect gift for almost any female member of the family. Warm, practical and beautiful! Plus to make it more luxurious, try knitting it in cashmere.
What about the teen in the family? These colour blocked handwarmers by Purl Soho tick all the boxes for girls. Plus it’s an easy one for beginners!
Let’s not forget about granny and grandpa.
A warm pair of house slippers by Ashley Knowlton are always a good gift. Plus add a few squiggles of puff paint on the soles and they are non-slip!
Our last Monsters and Mushrooms treasure hunt went down a treat with both boys and girls with the boys especially enamoured with the crochet monsters. Make one of these scarrrryyy monsters by Petite Purls as the perfect DIY chemical free toy this christmas!
Don’t forget dad! Dads like practical, uncomplicated gifts and nothing is more practical than a hat and scarf set. Keep it simple in one colour or if dad is a bit more adventurous, add a stripe or two in his favourite colour. Also a great gift for teenage boys. Just add a stripe in the colour of their favourite football team!
