If you are getting started with knitting you will learn garter stitch and rib stitch. This kimono design is worked as a simple square blanket, starting with 4x4 ribbing which forms the cuff detail upon seaming. The main body is worked in garter stitch before finishing 4x4 ribbing again. Seaming forms the batwing style sleeves. The panel is turned on its side to form a kimono shape when worn.
